Open workspace concepts may become undesired due to perceived risks. The days of the 6 foot cubicle of solitude with window inserts will reign once more as people seek whatever isolation that can be offered in office spaces if they are required to work in them. Anyone maintaining the open workspace concept will now require significantly more square footage of costly space per employee.
Transitioning to new shared business locations on a “as needed” basis. Daily co-work project spaces rentals, hourly boardroom rentals, and IT transitioning to cloud server deployments will become greater in demand as companies shed their costly office space overheads.
Re-aligning new business operation concepts will become an absolute necessity for any company to survive in the new economy & limited social interactions over the next few years of recovery.
