Important things about moving in the Vancouver area
Parking space (or meters) if needed. Curb space comes at a premium in the downtown areas. Be sure to check if you need a permit or reserve space for the moving truck to avoid any surprises the day of delivery. You should apply for the permit at least 7 days before.
If you are moving with your dog, including service dogs, that is older than the months old you will need an annual licence.
Local garbage pickup – check ahead for the designated pick up days. The city of Vancouver provides each home with a garbage & a green bin. Contact the city if you cannot locate them, or risk being passed over for pickups. There is no recycling or large size item pick up.
